This mini 2 piece Bluetooth speaker set offers very decent sound, especially for the price. But they also offer an infinity light show in sync with your own music . Simply connect your I-phone, iPad, I touch, android or any sound device and watch the multi-colored LED lights flash to the beat . If you don't have Bluetooth these speakers also have an aux connection for easy hookup. They have a wood grain finish and knocking on them, I think they really are wood cabinets. When they're not on the speakers look like they have mirrors on the front, but when you turn on the music friends will be impressed with the infinity mirror optical illusion that pulses to the beat of your music! There's also a MicroSD card slot and play/pause button, skip track buttons, so you can play music right from with the system. Power is via USB. The cable is provided by you'll need a USB to AC plug, or just drive the system from your computer's USB port, or even an external battery charge. Frequency Response: 180Hz - 18KHz, 6W (Total) Speaker Dimensions: 4.7in x 4.7in x 4.8in.

Winter brought extreme dryness to my office. I decided to find out how dry.

I bought the

ThermoPro TP55 Digital Room Thermometer and Hygrometer with Jumbo Touchscreen and Backlight Temperature and Humidity Monitor on Amazon. Here's some of what Amazon says about it: Equipped with professional grade sensors, the ThermoPro TP55 thermometer for house provides most accurate measurements, be it for indoor humidity or temperature. It's extremely user friendly with a backlight for those nighttime last minute checks on current readings before bed. The touchscreen display provides an valuable information, such as 24 hour/all-time high/low records and current trends for both humidity and temperature, plus humidity level icons that indicate if your home is too humid, too dry or just right! I wish there was a DC input to keep it illuminated all the time, but there isn't. That's about my only complaint. Under $20.

Foggy weather - you create on your own.

When I had my 'disco houseboat' I had two fog machines. They were great fun, but they cost hundreds of dollars and left a sticky residue. Now fog machines sell for as little as $25 on Amazon and fog without making a mess. The one I bought was the Crenova FM-03 Compact Portable Smoke Machine. The company says it's great for DJ's, Halloween Disco Partys, Weddings, Stage Effects, etc. Since I'm using it in Gizneyland which is rather small, I bought the smallest unit I saw online at 400 Watts. Although it shows and mentions a wireless remote control, it only arrived with a wired remote. They offered me $10 back for the missing remote, but I told them I really wanted one. They sent a second unit which arrived, yes, without a wireless remote. I expressed my unhappiness at getting the order wrong again, they apologized, refunded my money and told me to keep the machine. The machine seems well built and it produces enough fog for my needs. You'll see how it operates in the video on this week's show. (It also set off my smoke alarm!) Pay heed to the warnings included with the machine that it gets very hot and you shouldn't touch the cabinet until it cools off. Since we recorded the show someone emailed me with a video link that says the 400W fog machines can be dangerous. The video is from overseas but the fog machine in the video looks very similar. It also appears the same 400 Watt fog machine is being sold under lots of different names on Amazon. And one of the negative reviews on Amazon says the wired remote carries 110 volts, so getting it wet could be a disaster. So now when I use my fog machine I'll make sure not to leave it unattended and I'll make sure the remote is no one near any liquid. You should heed all the warnings too.

Chad's Crappy Corner & His Final Gadget For His December Theme!

Chad polled our loyal Patreon members and asked them to vote on his 'cheap gadget theme' for December. The winner was Cheap Holiday Gadgets and Chad's final one is:

Get ready for one of Amazon's endless names for something. Chad bought the: Gakken Sta:Ful Xmas Music card with Light and Original Christmas Santa Claus Masking Tape | Christmas tree, Ornament, Decoration, Friends family and gifts for loved ones (Fireplace).

It's a fold-out Christmas card that plays music and lights up like a fire flickering in the fireplace. But wait, there's more! It also plays traditional Christmas songs (no lyrics, tune only) including We wish you a merry christmas ・Jingle Bells ・Winter Wonderland ・White Christmas ・Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer. It also included one roll of holiday decorated tape with no explanation of what it is for. Chad needed it to put the card together, which really just took a couple of minutes. (It's a matter of inserting a couple of tabs into their slots.) And it did come with "one envelope".  It was $15.50 which Chad thought was a little high, but it was (and is) Amazon Prime. All in all, Chad thought this was a fun card, but it would have been more fun if it was less money.
