Did you buy something on Black Friday?

I resisted, but then around 10 PM, I gave in and bought an Amazon Fire HD8 with Special Offers for $49.99. And ebates had an 8% cash back offer which dropped the price even further. But wait, there's more. Even at the price there was free one day shipping for Prime Members. It was amazing. Ordered it about 10 PM Friday night, had it in my hands by 1:30 PM Saturday! As you'll see in the video, that low price includes ads, tons of ads! I finally paid $15 + taxes to remove them on Amazon. The new Show Mode is nice since it lets you see notices from pretty far away. The new version offers a better front camera and can take a larger SD card. I thought it was a bit odd that everything is at the top edge of the tablet; charging port, headphone jack, volume and on/off tab.  As of this writing it's back to it's normal price $79.99 with Special Offers, or about $95.00 more ad-free. A really, really cheap Bluetooth Earbud - Any good?

I wish there was such a thing as tiny, tiny earbuds that wouldn't make a bulge in your pocket, but so far I haven't found such a thing. I did find however,  a couple of different tiny Bluetooth earbuds. They're mono, but good enough for listening to podcasts or even music while working out, traveling, etc. They also have mics so you can take phone calls. I had been using the Mpow Bluetooth earbud, but it broken in half after about 10 months. It cost $16, so it wasn't much of a loss. I replaced it with the Essoy earbud which I like better, and is even cheaper. Just $10.99! I liked it so much I decided to buy another one as a back-up. It was then I discovered there was an “update version” on Amazon for just a dollar more. So I bought that. What is the difference between the two? It some doing to find out, but I did. You'll learn all about it in this week's show.
