Foggy weather - you create on your own.

When I had my 'disco houseboat' I had two fog machines. They were great fun, but they cost hundreds of dollars and left a sticky residue. Now fog machines sell for as little as $25 on Amazon and fog without making a mess. The one I bought was the Crenova FM-03 Compact Portable Smoke Machine. The company says it's great for DJ's, Halloween Disco Partys, Weddings, Stage Effects, etc. Since I'm using it in Gizneyland which is rather small, I bought the smallest unit I saw online at 400 Watts. Although it shows and mentions a wireless remote control, it only arrived with a wired remote. They offered me $10 back for the missing remote, but I told them I really wanted one. They sent a second unit which arrived, yes, without a wireless remote. I expressed my unhappiness at getting the order wrong again, they apologized, refunded my money and told me to keep the machine. The machine seems well built and it produces enough fog for my needs. You'll see how it operates in the video on this week's show. (It also set off my smoke alarm!) Pay heed to the warnings included with the machine that it gets very hot and you shouldn't touch the cabinet until it cools off. Since we recorded the show someone emailed me with a video link that says the 400W fog machines can be dangerous. The video is from overseas but the fog machine in the video looks very similar. It also appears the same 400 Watt fog machine is being sold under lots of different names on Amazon. And one of the negative reviews on Amazon says the wired remote carries 110 volts, so getting it wet could be a disaster. So now when I use my fog machine I'll make sure not to leave it unattended and I'll make sure the remote is no one near any liquid. You should heed all the warnings too.
