We start the show with a brand new gadget from Anker who teamed up with Steelcase to produce it.

The new product from Anker/Steelcase is called Flex Mobile Power. Not so much for the average person with a few gadgets, this was touted as the 'vision for the future of power in the workplace'. Each Mobile Power unit (about the size of a water pitcher) can charge up to 3 laptops or personal devices for a full-day. But wait, there's more! Steelcase Flex Mobile Power not only charges multiple devices simultaneously, it detects which device is running the lowest and directs the most power there, so everyone can keep working. The proprietary charging tray from Steelcase and Anker charges five units overnight, and sits on any flat surface or can be integrated into a Steelcase Flex Collection cart to go wherever teams need it. It is designed for USB-C port connectivity which is rapidly becoming the global, universal connectivity standard. Units also has a USB-A port, which delivers best-in-class 218 watt-hour capacity with 117W charging output across all ports. The price reflects its use in business. A single Flex Mobile Flex unit will be about $500. A rolling cart of 10 units, which all can be charged via a single plug, will be about $7000.00. A spokeperson at the demo told me that that price is probably cheaper than trying to wire an entire office so up to 30 people can have all the power they need at the exact location they need it. It's Disco Party Light Time!

I love disco. I love disco lights too! I recently went to a disco where they were projecting patterns on the floor. I wondered if I could do that on my floor at Gizneyland. Turns out I can!Amazon says the Party DJ Disco Light has a RGB 3 Lens 36 Patterns Projector. Unlike the cheaper models this one add 6 color backgrounds for multi-effect combinations. The beam and background can be turned on or off as you want. You can switch between 3 modes (Auto/sound/strobe) by remote control (included with battery) or manually. Aluminum alloy design, built-in cooling fan, adjustable bracket. Can be placed flat, hanging or inverted. I found the bracket is a bit flimsy, but the effects are great as you'll see in this week's show.

Magnetic Tape - I'm attracted to it.

Although it's been around for a long time, I never tried Magnetic Tape. The stuff I bought is now stupidly priced at $93, so you certainly don't want that. But you'll see how handy magnetic tape is in my video on this week's show. Although I haven't bought it yet, X-Bet Magnetic tape seems priced right. It comes in a 10 feet long, 1 inch wide & extra-thick 2mm (0.08") roll. X-bet says, and I don't understand the next part: Super Holding Power – 675 Gauss – stronger than most brands out there. Strong TESA Adhesive Backing does not leave any mark. Satisfies the requirements of ISO 9001. ….But I do unde rstand that you can use it on porcelain tiles, plastic, metal, and other smooth surfaces. X-bet adds: Magnetic Tape rolls are composed of two layers of magnets of the opposite poles, therefore the strips will not attract or stick itself to each other or to other magnets. The magnet tape strips main duty is for attracting small and light metal objects. …. The 10' roll was about $13.00 on 10/24/19. They also make a 1/2” wide roll for about $10.00, but it looks like the 1” roll is scored down the middle so it seems you could buy that and use it as 1” or 1/2” tape. With either roll it seems they throw in a free tape measure.

Chad's Crappy Corner & Another Gadget For His October Theme!

Chad's fourth Alibaba week gadget is The Reusable Shoe Covers -Waterproof Silicone Shoe Protectors for Indoor Outdoor. Alibaba describes them this way: 1. Non-slip, rainproof, wear-resistant, easy to carry. 2. Silicone material, good elasticity, easy to put on and take off. 3. Can be easily put into wallets or bags. 4. Stretchy material fits all people's shoes.

And Chad's take: Chad liked them, and so did I and some folks in chat. You'll see in the video they're easy to put on and they passed a mini-water test on Chad's sneakers. They're available in blue, black, white, yellow and in small, med, and large. Chad wears a size 10 & shows us how his medium shoe protectors worked. About $4.50 to $7.00 with free shipping. Chad points out that you'll find dozens of variations on these over at AliExpress. All-in-all, not a crappy gadget.
