Episode 987

Logitech Webcam Pro 9000
As a bonus pick, Leo recommends the Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 (now also called Webcam Pro 9000) which they've been using for a while (and which Dick uses as well). Some time ago, Leo did a head-to-head of the Quickcam Pro 9000 against the (then) new Microsoft LifeCam Cinema which Leo referred to in Episode 903. The video of the head-to-head is available at odtv.me. The performance was pretty even but in the end the Logitech edged out the LifeCam.

The Cost of 12 Days of Giz Wiz Gadgets
Dennis Pyott Senior, who previously suggested a few names for the TWiT Home Office, has taken the time to tot up the cost of buying the whole collection gadgets for Paul Minshall's 12 Days of Giz Wiz. It comes to $13,140.06. Chris Washer of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida has done the same thing but his total is $34,531, or 46.4 Alexes, or one Mustang GT, on the basis that the presents are repeated, cumulatively, every day.
Gadgets Factorial?
An interesting question arises if there should be an accumulation from day to day, and Leo asks if it's a factorial of some sort. Not quite. In the end, Leo asks Paul Minshall the creator of 12 Days of Giz Wiz to give the definitive answer one way or the other. Paul helpfully answers, "Yes!"
Wikipedia thinks it should be a total of 364 presents. Apparently there's also some relation to the Pascal Triangle.
Expect a lot of emails for this.
