A 3D Printer That Uses A Most Surprising Material.

More from the New York 3D Printer show! At first glance the Mcor Iris looks like a normal 3D Printer. But when you take a closer look you see what it's using as a 3D building tool...plain white paper! You can add up to 3 reams at a time to print anything up to 5.9” high. Surprisingly, the final objects look nothing like paper as you’ll see in the video. The printer is from Mcor Techologies, and marketed locally by Sculptgraphicz. At this year's Euro Mold show in Frankfurt, Germany Mcor announced that the speed of their Iris full color 3D Printer has been doubled. According to Sculptgraphicz, the Mcor Iris is the only color paper 3D printer and that it produces incredibly realistic, high quality strong durable models in over one million true colors from standard office paper at a fraction of the cost of other 3D printing technologies. It is also eco and office friendly, but it does have a big footprint. This is no tabletop 3D printer as you can see in the video. The Mcor Iris is $53,000, but remember, the material you print on is just plain old paper!
