Play DJ on your iPad, iPhone or even iPod Touch!

I have to thank Sarah Lane for telling me the DJay App for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. It was a recommendation she made on iPad Today. She was recommending for the iPad, but since I used to love to mix my own music, I wondered if it was available for the iPod Touch. It was! And it was (and still is as of July 9th, 2011) available for just 99 cents, instead of the normal $4.99. It’s $19.99 for iPad! After you download and install the app you are presented with two turntables. You pick music for each one from your music library and your selections become records on the turntables. You can vary the speeds, even slow them down or stop them with your finger! The one thing you can’t do is listen to the next track you want to mix. Until now! Griffin has solved that problem. It may look like a splitter cable, but it’s not. The Griffin DJ Cable is wired to enable the Split Output function in DJay. Once you turn that function on in the App menu you will be able to simultaneously hear both what music the audio speaker is playing and the track you are cueing up. With Split Output mode enabled, djay sends the master output to the left channel, and the cue output to the right channel. This lets you cue songs through your headphones independently of the mix that's going through the speakers. And it’s just $19.95
