Our viewer video this week is from The Giz Wiz himself! Since we talked about a new 2022 version of an external battery charger, The Giz Wiz did a quick round up of older external battery chargers. Without much effort he found 19 of them! On this week's show we take a look back at some of them, including a different way to get more power for your phone. You took out your phone battery & put in this device which already had a battery attached, then you put both batteries back in your phone. It came with a new phone back since now the battery was double thick! It wasn't around for long.

Low production value is fine, but we should be able to hear you and see you! If we select and show your video on The Giz Wiz you’ll earn a tiny amount of fame (hopefully). And if you live in the US, you'll also get an autographed 38+ year old Alfred E. Neuman picture and a MAD surprise (most likely the current issue of MAD.) But no matter where you live outside of US, I can autograph an Alfred E. Neuman photo to you, scan it & email you a high res copy if we show your video. Just print it out, frame it, or just hang it up and no one will know it's a copy. We've tested it out and fans say they look terrific! If you submitting warehouse videos for a second, third time, etc., you'll get the current issue of MAD as a thank you.

Hi Dicky De,

I dunno if this is a record or not but I returned 4 large solar panels to Amazon because UPS kept breaking them! The first 2 looked like they just tossed them off the truck into the driveway so I took them back to the nearest store that handles UPS shipments. The 3rd and 4th times I was able to catch them trying to leave broken panels and refused the shipment. I never could find a way to get them from Amazon unbroken by UPS but I found a warehouse that sells them a lot cheaper where I can just drive over and pick them up. There are probably the ones taken off Walmart stores that were catching fire!

Smaller things are normally taken to Kohls and they have given me several of those $5.00 discount coupons but I never used them since I never buy anything at Kohls.

I haven't heard about any stores around here selling piles of returned stuff but there is an auction in Phoenix where they auction off larger items at Hibid Auctions. They currently have a new 3D printer for $80.

Spray Misty For Me!

Another Cooling Gadget For the Hot Weather ---

It's the Honhey Misting Pocket Fan, which can be used a handheld fan, a desk fan & a misting fan. It has 3 adjustable speeds provides 20 hours at low speed, 13 hours at medium speed and 6 hours for high speed according to Honhey. A long press of the power switch turns on the misting function. Then turn the fan on at the same time and the mister it will spray intermittently to extend the misting time. With a build-in 15ml water tank, it can be used for 1-1.5 hours when filled with water. You can connect the provided micro USB-cable to a powerbank, computer, laptop, etc. for continuous operation. The company says it takes 1.5 hours to fully charge the 1500 mAh battery. Fan blades are made of a special soft material, so if you accidentally touch them, they will automatically stop. This will be great carry device for the on-coming hot weather. The Giz Wiz Buys A Solar Powered Umbrella.

It's The MASTERCANOPY Patio Umbrella with 32 Solar LED Lights -8 Ribs (7.5 ft)

This seemed like a good idea. A patio umbrella with 32 LED solar lights which the company says lasting for 9-12 hours. And it has an ON and OFF switch, so you don't use the power stored in the battery until you want it. The Amazon copy says: "Solar panel on top powered by rechargeable battery." Isn't it the other way around, the sun powers the rechargeable battery? Either way, no electricity or power cord needed for the lights. ⛱️Heavy-duty Aluminum Pole & 8 Fe-Ribs, whatever they are. Waterproof and breathable fabric. You can have shade by tilting the umbrella along with the sun. (I think it's easier to tilt the umbrella than the sun, though.) It's really easy to assemble as you see in the video. I bought the 7.5 foot umbrella in forest green. They have about a dozen color choices, and the company also has a 9' and 11' umbrella. But remember, BASE NOT INCLUDED, which adds about $50 to the price.

And Chad's take? Chad liked this fun gadgets and so did many of us. He also pointed out it's not a super soaker type, but more a gentle squirt gun which is fine to help keep cooler in the hot weather. It was decently priced too. Chad paid about $16.00 on Amazon.
