Super Useful Gadgets You May Not Know About!

These are the gadgets I showed on ABC's World News Now. If you'd like to watch the spot, it's here: https://abcnews.go.com/WNN/video/gadgets--72996395

When you carry this gadget with the shoulder strap, or handle people will never guess what it is!

I think is the best 'What The Heck Gadget' ever! It just doesn't look like what it turns into. It's a STOOL! Yep, a place to sit and it feels rather sturdy. The brand I bought Yin Kai Cyber Celebrity – that's the real name, no longer shows up on Amazon, but here's one that seems identical: Gerymu Brand says: Our collapsible stools are very compact and portable. When opened, you can adjust its height between 2.56 and 18 inches. Hand straps and shoulder straps provide two ways to carry. Our Portable telescoping stool each layer has a complete streamlined clasp provides better stability, and the anti-slip legs on the bottom are safe and reliable. About $27.00. Free Prime Shipping. From the Giz Wiz. I think this collapsible stool is great! Takes up very little space & easy to carry any place you might expect a long line. You'll be able to sit and be comfortable. It weighs under 3 pounds. Price can change at any time. Also check the bottom of the page at that link because there are dozens of these chairs in many colors. Some seem low priced, but then they add $$ shipping.

The I bought is no longer available, but this looks about the same and it was under $28 on 9/14/20: https://amzn.to/3iGxp01  (Plenty of other options at the bottom of that page!) As an Amazon Associate Giz Wiz Biz earns from qualifying Amazon purchases. You pay no more.

    A $3 to $3.50 Handy Dandy LED Flashlight/Task Light w/ A Rechargeable Battery.

People like flashlights! Especially inexpensive ones.  In the past week I bought a dozen mini-flashlights from 3 different places. They all look alike on the web, but are they all the same? After I bought 3 of them for $10.50, Beckee W. in the chatroom found them for $3 each, actually four for $11.99. Then I found 6 for $17.99, also about $3 each. I decided to buy several of each to see if they are all the same flashlight. Strangely, they look similar, but they're all slightly different. One has a bigger LED task light, one doesn't have a strobe (which I never use anyway) some arrive in a sturdy plastic case. Watch my video to see the variations. For the lowest price you have to buy 3, 4, or 6 of them, but I think anyone of them would make a great stocking stuffer, or mini-gift. Especially the ones that ship in individual plastic containers. The ones priced at 4 for $13.97 on Amazon came packaged altogether in a plain cardboard box and didn't have the 'strobe' mode.

All 3 versions of the mini-flashlight were still available as of noon EDT 9/13/20 but that can change at any time.

4/$13.97: https://amzn.to/3hqFXXm  (About $3.50 each) This version arrived in a cardbox and has no 'strobe' mode which is something I never use anyway.) As an Amazon Associate Giz Wiz Biz earns from qualifying Amazon purchases. You pay no more.

CHEAPER HERE! 4/$11.99, but this is a new listing so I don't know if they come in a case or not. https://amzn.to/2GPP3QC As an Amazon Associate Giz Wiz Biz earns from qualifying Amazon purchases. You pay no more.

Still on Deal of the Day 3 for $10.50 w/free shipping as of noon 9/12/20 EDT  https://www.thatdailydeal.com/index.php?id=54488  ($3.50 each, but bigger task light side panel, better charging light indicator & the only one with a carry strap instead of a pocket clip. This would be my choice if they're still available. This is not an affiliate link.)

The Thumbs-Up Phone Holder Can Be Used To Hold Up Many More Things!

I bought the Butefo Thumbs Up Cell Phone Holder on Amazon and like them a lot. First, here's a bit about them from the company: Cool, cute, compact and effective! Thumbs-up OK design! Use it as phone mount at home, phone stand at the office, kitchen display, airplane device viewer. Holds devices with approximate span from 3 1/2 inch to 8 inches - 90mm to 203mm), Slot width:3/8 inch (10mm). (Weird description:) Built with Silicone Material to make it more flexible, durable, longer lasting and good toughness. Adjustable - Stand angle easily adjusted, supporting both vertical and horizontal viewing. Rubber pads and feet protect your device from scratches and sliding. $17.99.

From The Giz Wiz: I like these not so much for holding a phone, but for displaying lots of other (mostly MAD) things at Gizneyland. I have them holding up an Alfred E. Neuman CD, some MAD Halloween Cards, even a MAD car in a blister pack. (You'll see how it works with them all on this week's show.) The 8 pack seems the best buy at $17.99 as of 9/4/20 (that's $2.25 each), when you consider one vendor is selling a single ThumbsUp holder for $6.99. I received eight assorted colors in the box, with no two colors the same.

Ever hear of LED Gloves? Yes, it's thing!

If you show these odd shaped things to someone, it would be hard to figure out what they are. But as you'll see in the video, they're LED Flashlight Gloves. On the Amazon website page I was on, they were two pair for roughly $15.00 or $7.50 each. I got 2 pairs of LED flashlight gloves and 2 screwdrivers for opening the 2 button cell battery compartment. The idea is to wear them sort of as portable flashlights. There's an on and off button and 2 LED lamps, one on the forefinger and one on the thumb of each glove. Since they're worn on your hands there's no need to hold a traditional flashlight so doing chores in the dark should be easy. They come with no instructions, but fortunately there's the photo on Amazon which makes it easy to see how to wear them. The description says the gloves are made of comfortable, soft, breathable cotton material - that hand washing will not affect normal use, but it can not be soaked in water for a long time. Although it also says 'LED gloves last about 30 hours' they're talking about the batteries which you can replace. I opened one battery compartment with the included screwdriver and find each glove uses two CR2016 batteries which are easy to find on Amazon. I bought them at the link below 2 pair for under $15.00

We Didn't Have Time To Show An Inexpensive Way To Repair Eyeglasses That Have a Loose Or Missing Screw.

I have a pair of glasses I love. I'll been unable to buy a second pair because these glasses are years old and I don't see them anywhere online. But I couldn't wear them because of a missing screw that seperated one of the earpieces from the rest of the frame. So on to Amazon where I saw something they ask: Perfect repair kit? It comes with 6 different sized precision magnetic eyeglass screwdrivers, a 1000 pieces of eyeglasses screws, nuts, and both metal and plastic washers. There's even a multi-function micro screwdriver that can fit on a keychain, tweezers, and a glasses cleaning cloth. I was able to fix my glasses in a 'good enough way' as you'll see in this week's show. So this kit is good eyeglass and sunglasses repair and most likely for other things like electronic, computer, and jewelry repair, or fixing anything with micro screws. The screws are said to be made of stainless steel, so they may or may not be attracted by the magnetic screwdrivers. The one screw I needed was. The entire kit was under $10 on Amazon.
