    For laughs on Amazon I typed 'great gadget gift for new teacher' & this came up. It has almost 4,000 reviews and got 4.6 stars out of 5. It may be a great gift for a teacher, but everyone in the studio agreed it's perfect for any desk to keep this organized.

    It's the Desk Organizer Caddy. Perfect for teacher or any student to keep track of pens, styluses, note pads, clips, pushpins, etc. There's a mesh oval pencil cup, 5 divided compartments to organize all your writing instruments, 2 additional shallow compartments for holding other small supplies and even small notched supply drawer to hold 2.5" x 3" notes, Post-it, or otherwise.
