A Kickstarter project that raised almost a quarter of a million dollars!

I found this at a holiday gift idea show and this is a very different kind of gift. (This company raised $248,000 on Kickstarter!) Aqua Farm provides the fish tank, food, plants, air pump, etc. You provide the fish to start the cycle. The Aqua Farm kit lets you grow fresh produce right in the comfort of your own home - beans, basil, thyme, baby greens, oregano, mint, parsley, spinach and other delicious foods! It's called a closed-loop eco-system. That means it uses the fish waste to naturally fertilize the plants above. In turn, the plants clean the water for your pet fish. So you can enjoy your pet fish with virtually nothing to clean up. All the fish needs is food. The Aqua Farm kit includes: The Tank + Garden Top - Air pump to bring your nutrients up and oxygenate the water - 5 pots with pebbles (from which the plants will grow) - Organic seeds (mixture of various herbs) - Fish food and water conditioners to get started right away! The kit also includes a coupon for a free Betta Fish at Petco. Petco has the AuaFarm online now, and it will be in stores in November. Complete kit is $69.99, but it's under $63 at Petco.

Anker Astro External Battery Chargers.
There's a complete line of Anker Astro Battery Chargers starting at about $20 and up.
The Anker Astro Mini offers 3000 mAH, ideal for charging smart phones and iphones. That's their smallest model, and it easily slips into pocket or purse. At the top end of the link is the 15,000 mAh Astro E5. This guy is suited more for the backpack or jacket pocket. It's for charging iPads, tablets, smart phones, iPhones, etc. With dual USB ports, you can use it to charge two devices at once. And there’s even a built in flashlight. The Astro E5 retails in the $50 to $60 range. Here's a link to the company website where you can see the entire line of external chargers.
