A Beacon for New York
Dick goes against the current of bad reviews by critics and recommends the show Banana Shpeel at the capacious Beacon Theatre in New York City.  Leo on the other hand has enjoyed The Heights which is currently on in Petaluma.

Dick’s 8mm Movies
It was at the Beacon Theatre that Dick shot some home movies using 8mm film many years ago, starring a number of Match Game guests.  For Dick’s account of how these home movies came about, see Episode 60.  The old theatre still has its old organ, and Dick talks about the Underground Organ Society again (see Episode 1009).

Gone Gaga!
Brad Batchelor is thankful for TTTT, or to be fair to Brad, for the TTTT jingle.  A while ago he had a Lady Gaga tune stuck in his head for 3 days (“gaga ooh la la …” – from Bad Romance), which drove him gaga.  He listened to the Daily Giz Wiz, heard the TTTT jingle, and gone was Lady Gaga.  Now he’s got the TTTT theme stuck in his head.

Today’s letter comes from a listener who cares about Leo’s weight, and it’s not Rodney who sent Leo a ton of Snickers.  Andy Lane has used and can highly recommend to Leo SlenderTone’s System Abs (with different versions for men and ladies) for Leo’s waist.  Andy gets a six-pack from using it.  Leo hasn’t tried and can’t vouch for it.

Abby has finally graduated from high school, and Leo spoke at the ceremony.  No alcohol involved, according to Leo.

iPad Out of Stock? Get a Case First
Newly-wed J York sends a thank-you note to Dick and Leo for Leo’s round-up of iPad Cases (Episode 1082).  He and his wife received a $1,000 Best Buy gift certificate for their wedding last month, and decided to buy an iPad.  They sat down to watch Episode 1082 on YouTube, and chose Marware’s Eco Vue.  They now have the case, but unfortunately don’t have an iPad yet – out of stock at Best Buy.

The Cruzin’ Cooler Lives On
Rob M (could it be Rob M Lansing from Michigan in Episode 1071?) was holidaying with his family in beautiful Buffalo, Michigan, when he happened upon someone driving the Cruzin’ Cooler (Episode 101).  His jaws just dropped.  He never expected to see one in use in real life.

Back in Episode 810 when Dick talked about the Johnny Light, Leo remarked that he introduced a similar gadget on Regis and Kelly.  I had thought that Leo may have been referring to the LavNav, because that was in 2003, the same year that a version of the LavNav was introduced, but apparently it wasn't what Leo was talking about.

Striking the Funny Bone

Paul Vladuchick, who last wrote in Episode 590, has been a loyal listener since Episode 58, then not a loyal listener from 263 to 378, became a loyal listener again from 469 to 544, and so on.  A hit-and-miss loyal listener.  Paul rather enjoys the Finnish Letters Jingle which Dick and Leo panned recently in Episode 1096.  It just strikes his funny bone.
