Something different. Free shaves, right on the floor of CES.

The folks at Schick had a good idea. To demonstrate their new Hydro 5 Power Select razor, they set up a barbar shop right on the show floor. It was complete with a spinning red, white & blue "barber pole". I had already shaved, otherwise I would have sat down for the full deluxe treatment. They were offering hot towels, a complete shave and shaving hints. The new Hydro 5 Power Select razor is battery driven - it uses one AAA battery, which is included. They had given me a product sample the night before & I did use it. Worked fine for me! Unlike other power hand razors, the Power Select offers 3 different speeds.

Oh no, everything you own is about to become obsolete! It's CES 2012.

Some 137,000 people are in, or on their way to Vegas for CES 2012. That's where most of the gadgets that will be introduced between now and the holidays are shown to retailers and to the press. There's Recycling - and now there's Tree-cycling.

Time 4 Mulchfest - NYC's tree-cycling 4 Christmas trees. These R in Riverside Park at W83 http://www.nyc.gov/html/dsny/html/home/home.shtml Once they're turned to Mulch, it can be used by the great folks who tend all the great mini-gardens in Riverside Park. Google your local area to see if their doing the same sort of thing. A great use for Christmas Trees once the holidays have passed.

She's in it a lot and likes to stick her head into sides.

Christmas Day 2011

Visited St. John The Divine Church this afternoon. They had a beautiful tree decorated w/ Origami birds. They were carefully sized, starting with large birds at the bottom, gradually getting smaller & smaller as they went up the tree. It was quite beautiful.
