An easy way to take a young kids temperature, Temperature Pals.
On Amazon the description says: “Stick the temperature pal on and see the temperature displayed immediately. Works continuously for up to 2 days!” In another place it says: “Stick These stickers on your child's forehead or a few other places recommended and that's it! You will know your child's temperature at all times.” I tried two of them, even though they aren’t made for older people. I couldn’t get a reading from the 1st Temperature Pal, but the second one pretty quickly showed me an “N” for normal. A temperature sensitive ink lets the proper temperature glow. It’s not like a regular thermometer. It show 99, 101, 103, 105 degrees and N. If two temperatures show, the actual temperature is the number between them. So if 101 and 103 glow, the temperature is 102. They can remain on the child, age 12 months and up, for up to 48 hours. That way you can monitor their temperature while they sleep. They are not reusable. Price online is only 1 cent, plus $4.98 shipping. My experience has been that if you order two, you’ll pay $4.98 shipping on each, because they’re basically hiding the price of the item in the shipping costs. I assume they'll work better and quicker on a child's thinner, younger skin rather than my aged skin.
