Here's one last gizmo from Coffee Fest, the coffee lover's show that took place March 11, 12, 13 at the Javit's Convention Center, NYC.

It's another way to make coffee as you travel, but this time the coffee treat is Espresso!

Here's what the company, Wacaco, says about their Minipresso: Whether you plan to go hiking, camping, boating, or stay in a hotel, Minipresso compactness makes it the ideal espresso machine to slide into your bag, backpack. With little efforts, Minipresso helps you prepare amazing shots, with a quality close to traditional machine. Don't get rid of your daily pleasures far from home. With Minipresso, be sure to enjoy a delicious espresso anywhere, anytime. Six Pieces including a cup and a bean scooper, but no batteries, because MiniPresso does not use them. $59 on company website, and a LOT more at Amazon as of 3/14/16. So company website seems the best bet as of this date.

Here's a 2-minute to show exactly how the Minipresso works.

An exciting new programmable espresso machine from Capresso.

Here are some of features of the new Capresso Ultima Pro which became available March, 2016. It's great looking machine with programmable cup sizes for 1 or 2 espressos. On the top of the machine there's a handy cap warming tray. On the front of the machine are five easy to see illuminated icons. For easy in making espressos, there's a self-tamping portafilter.

And on the left side of this high-tech machine is a powerful frothing wand for latte and cappuccino. Open the top lid for the 34-oz. removable water tank and for the integrated storage space for accessories. There's even a hot water function for tea. There are stainless steel accents and an even an automatic shut-off after 30 minutes. Best of all is the price, under $200. There's about the price of 30 to 40 coffee specialty drinks at your favorite place.

The 2016 NYC International Auto Show

I go to the International Auto Show every year not so much to seek out new cars, as to find what's really unique at the show. This year I learned a couple of things. One is that the Detroit Electric from the 1920's was an all electric car. It was mainly sold to women drivers and physicians who desired the dependable and immediate start without the physically demanding hand cranking of the engine that was required with early internal combustion engine autos. Another amazing find was the ATV, or the Extra Terrestrial Vehicle. This concept car, (which I was told you can buy in kit form) has kind of Lamborghini Gull wing doors, in addition to 'space ship' lines. It the most unique car you will probably find running, especially in Florida where it was designed and built. The gentlemen from the New Jersey chapter of the Vintage Auto Museum told me the Extra Terrestrial Vehicle can be bought in kit form for about $71,000. I asked if you could buy one completely built and he said he though it could, but it be well up there over $100,000. Here's the website of the company that designed and built it.

Chad's Crappy Corner and another gadget for his theme for March.

Chad emailed our loyal (and much appreciated) Patreon supporters and asked them to pick a March, 2016 theme of the month they would like to see. They voted and picked crappy gaming gadgets. And this week's (crappy?) gaming gadget is the Hyperkin ComRad Gaming Audio Helmet Headset

Here's what Amazon says about the Hyperkin ComRad Gaming Audio Helmet Headset.

Whether you are saving the world, the universe, or merely showing off to your friends, the ComRad Gaming Audio Helmet will provide you an audio experience that makes you feel like you are truly in the game. Communicate with your friends online with the detachable microphone, or use it to verbally assert your dominance against your opponents. It was $38.17 and Amazon Prime as of 3/22/16

And Chad's take? Although this looked impressive and came with three different cameo covers, it failed in one important area. Chad cannot get it work at all! He tried it several times and ended by saying it's too bad you can't minus stars on Amazon because this device was a definite 'do not buy'.

No longer on Amazon.

*********

We’re looking for more Viewer Videos! We’d love to include your video in an upcoming Giz Wiz Show, so here's what we're looking for! Your home shot video – 2 to 3 minutes long, in any of the following categories:

I bought a piece of crap: Did you buy something you ended up hating? We won't get you a refund, but we might be able to give a platform to vent your disappointment. Remember, "family friendly" language applies.

I invented this! Did you invent something? (Or did a friend or relative invent something.) We can't market it for you, but we can help get the word out. Show us what it is, and how it works. Even if it's a prototype, you can get our (and the audience) reactions. No professional ads please.

My Gadget Warehouse: Okay, so you don't have a warehouse. It doesn't matter. Just tell us about your favorite old gadget(s). When and where you bought it, and why you're still hanging on to it.

My Favorite Gadget of All Time: Show us what it is, tell us what it does and why you love, or loved it! It can be a new gadget you just bought too.

Post them on YouTube and send us the link! We'll do the rest. (Or possibly nothing, but that's unlikely.) Remember, videos should be just 2 to 3 minutes long! Low production value is fine, but we should be able to hear you and see you! If we select and show your video on The Giz Wiz you’ll a tiny amount of fame (hopefully), an autographed MAD magazine and a 35-year-old Alfred E. Neuman picture. So that's one more (so-so) reason to send in your video! IMPORTANT: We'll just shower you with praise for your video if you live outside the US or Canada since we can't afford to send stuff outside of those two places. (Thanks for understanding.)

All show submissions go to mail@gizwiz.tv
