The "joy" of trying to replace my Dropcam on my boat.

After 35 years or more I dropped my Verizon landline phone at my boat. It was getting so unrelieable that I had service maybe 35% of the time. (And lots of luck getting Verizon to fix a copper line at a marina!) However, trying to use my Dropcam again didn't happen because it's so old it can only be set up hooked to a computer & Windows10 only recognizes it as a USB device it doesn't recognize! As you'll see on this week's show getting a security cam working took some doing. But I ended up with the Eufy Security 2K Indoor Cam working fine. It has Pan & Tilt, Human & Pet AI, Voice Assistant Compatibility, Motion Tracking and more. You can set it for 2K, but I selected 1080P since my neighbor said: "Please use my Wifi" and I didn't want to hog any extra bandwidth. I also set it so the camera only comes on while the app is open. That way I'll need Wifi when I check my boat maybe a couple of times a day. (More during storms.) Seems people are starting to travel again!

Since people are flying a lot more lately and taking trains too, I started scouting out some interesting travel gadgets. One I bought was the awfully named MLVOC Travel Pillow. It's said to be a 100% Pure Memory Foam Neck Pillow, Comfortable & Breathable Cover that is Machine Washable. It actually is travel kit that also contains a 3D Contoured Eye Masks, Earplugs, and Luxury Bag. Well, carry bag, not so much luxury. What I like about this is that it fits all the way around your neck and can fasten in the front. Doing that will help prevent your head from falling down to your chest while you snooze. Waiting up from a head down snooze does give one a terrible pain the neck. The company says their adjustable rope lock lets you adjust the angle and the size of the pillow, meeting different neck size requirements. The luxury memory foam filler uses "5 second return technology". Maybe, I didn't time it. The travel bag that allows the neck pillow to compress down to ½ its size. With its snap strap, this pillow can be attached to your carry on luggage without taking up extra space. About $21 - $22 as of 6/5/21

Having trouble reading menus, tiny type instructions & other small type?

What is the Chad's Crappy Corner new gadget theme for June - as picked by our loyal Patreon members?

Ta Da! The winning theme is “Cheap Gadgets from Alibaba”. And Chad's first cheap gadget is the HOMETREE Mini Handheld Holder Electric Heating Snack Sealing Machine.

As you might have guessed, it's a way to reseal a plastic bag. This mini sealing machine runs on 2AA batteries, not included.
