And now, on the show! CES 2017

Keep track of keys, phones and a lot more with the new Pixel TrackR

Chad walked me over to visit the TrackR booth so he could show me their newly unveiled new Pixel TrackR.The Pixel operates like the TrackR Bravo to help you track and find lost items, but it's smaller, lighter, and – this is big --- it has an LED light! Yep, so now in addition to the a sound (said to be louder in the Pixel than the Bravo) the LED turns on when activated to make finding items in the dark easier. We didn't talk about it in the video, but there's also a new TrackR wallet 2.0. The company says it's one of the thinnest trackers on the market at just 2mm, or about the thickness of two credit cards. TrackR wallet 2.0 uses new carbon fiber technology to achieve its thinness while maintaining all of the functionality of TrackR bravo, including replaceable CR2016 batteries. TrackR pixel will be available to pre-order for $24.99 and will begin shipping in Spring 2017. TrackR wallet 2.0 will be available to pre-order for $29.99 and will be available in late Spring 2017.

How many baby strollers have a generator to charge your smart phone? This one does!

Every year 4Moms seems to come with some great tech to help take care of babies. The latest shown at CES is their Moxie Stroller. It's a high-tech and stylish stroller with unique features like an LCD dashboard that displays speed, distance, temperature and calories burned. Plus, of course, headlights, tail-lights, and even a smart phone charger! The company says it's compatible with their 4moms self installing car seat we showed last year, and several other models. It's suitable for a child from birth to 55 lb and offers a full coverage canopy with pop out shade and UPF 30 protection. It's said to grow with your baby: carriage, parent-facing seat, and forward-facing seat modes and 5 position adjustable handlebar. The battery is self-charging via generators in the rear wheels. Other features include dashboard bag and storage basket, cup holder, swivel locks on front wheels for rough terrain, easy one-step fold, front and rear wheel suspension. MSRP: is $699.99.

Kids - Turn on your TV, Start your Engines and Start Learning Too!

The Smart Cycleplugs directly into your VCR or TV and requires no need for a separate game system. Simply connect the Smart Cycle to your television's input jacks, insert the included game cartridge "key," and your child can start riding -- and learning -- right away! Your child pedals the bike to keep the game going and "steers" with the movable handlebars. A conveniently placed joy stick and bright buttons control the games and educational tools. It comes with a "learning adventure," in which your child drives a car by pedaling the bike and turning the handlebars while at the same time learning the alphabet! And Fisher Price says the fun doesn't have to stop when your child gets their fill of exercise: they can stop and rest, and continue the fun and learning by using the bike's joy stick and buttons to navigate through many other games and adventures. Several optional game cartridges that can be used with the Smart Cycle (sold separately) will keep your child continually entertained, including games that feature favorite characters such as Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob SquarePants, Barbie, and Hot Wheels cars. So the Smart Cycle can grow with your child there's a wide array of games and height-adjustable seat. It's Fall 2017 item, but as you'll hear in the video, it should start to appear in stores about June of this year. The MSRP is $149.99.

Chad's Crappy Corner

On this show Chad continues his January series 'gadget gifts he received for the holidays'.

This week he opens and tries his new Toydriver.

Toydriver is a small, battery operated screwdriver specifically for the tiny screws on all toy battery covers. Toydriver works on tiny to medium-sized screws so kids can get back to having fun faster! Toydriver's long and narrow bit reaches recessed screws perfectly. Right amount of power (low torque) won't strip small screws. Toydriver is specifically for changing toy batteries and is not guaranteed to work on heavier jobs like toy assembly. If a toy battery cover has been previously overtightend, use Toydriver to manually unscrew until power kicks in. Batteries included are demo batteries - if unit is sluggish, replace with a fresh pair. Bits are not universal and are made specifically for use with Toydriver only. WARNING: NOT A TOY - FOR ADULT USE ONLY. $9.99.

And Chad's Take:Chad was excited about this because he (along with the rest of us) hates the chore of opening battery compartments on toys. But, this was pretty much a disaster from start to finish. First of all, there was only one driver in the package, a slot driver and Chad needed the one shown in the picture, the Phillips driver. Then it seemed like the batteries were dead, so Chad put in a new pair. Still the Toydriver didn't drive or even turn on. While playing around with it, Chad discovered the battery door didn't close enough to make contact with the batteries. He tried holding the battery door closed with one hand while using the other on the Toydriver, but it was too much trouble. So he christened it the new 'most crappy gadget' on The Giz Wiz Show.

We’re looking for more Viewer Videos!

We’d love to include your video in an upcoming Giz Wiz Show, so here's what we're looking for! Your home shot video – 2 to 3 minutes long, in any of the following categories:

I bought a piece of crap: Did you buy something you ended up hating? We won't get you a refund, but we might be able to give a platform to vent your disappointment. Remember, "family friendly" language applies.

-

I invented this! Did you invent something? (Or did a friend or relative invent something.) We can't market it for you, but we can help get the word out. Show us what it is, and how it works. Even if it's a prototype, you can get our (and the audience) reactions. No professional ads please.

-

My Gadget Warehouse: Okay, so you don't have a warehouse. It doesn't matter. Just tell us about your favorite old gadget(s). When and where you bought it, and why you're still hanging on to it.

-

My Favorite Gadget (favorite old, or favorite new): Show us what it is, tell us what it does and why you love, or loved it! It can be a new gadget you just bought too.

-

Post them on YouTube and send us the link! We'll do the rest. (Or possibly nothing, but that's unlikely.) Remember, videos should be just 2 to 3 minutes long! Low production value is fine, but we should be able to hear you and see you! If we select and show your video on The Giz Wiz you’ll receive a tiny amount of fame (hopefully), an autographed MAD magazine and a 35-year-old Alfred E. Neuman picture. So that's one more (so-so) reason to send in your video!

IMPORTANT: We'll just shower you with praise for your video if you live outside the US or Canada since we can't afford to send stuff outside of those two places. (Thanks for understanding.)

All show submissions go to mail@gizwiz.tv
