Dick's Gadget Warehouse

This is the last week in January that Dick's Gadget Warehouse is going to be a bit different.

We're showing videos of gadgets either I or Chad, or the two of us recorded videos about at CES shows in past years. Then we do a Google search and see if what we can find out about that gadget. Is it still for sale? Did it ever go on sale. Is the company still around? We expected that this would be quite interesting and it is!

On this week's show we go back to CES 2018, 4 years ago, and look at a new version of the “old 8mm Kodak film camera” said to be 'not out yet, but will be by summer 2018. Did it come out? Will people buy a $2,000 film camera, or maybe it's $3,000 as I was also told it might cost? PLUS pay $100 per 4 minute film cassette, even if it includes film processing and a digital DVD. After we show the old CES video, we go looking for the Kodak 8mm camera online and see where and if it's available today. You'll see the results on this week's show.
