OMG, Recently I went to a live in-person trade show; the first one in 17 months! It was the Housewares Summer Preview. So this week & next week we'll be talk about new gadgets for the kitchen, the bar and we'll even learn about some new accessories for the doggie set! We'll start with a Highly Rated Multi-Cooker.
It's the Zavor LUX LCD 6 Quart Programmable Electric Multi-Cooker.
I stopped by the Zavor booth because I had read that their Lux LCD Multi- Cooker was highly praised by Consumer Reports and by America's Test Kitchen. I've never used a Multi-Cooker because I mostly boil water and I already have a pot for that. But here's some info on what Zavor Lux can do, provided by the company. Featured functions: Pressure Cook (high and low), Slow Cook (high and low), Steam, Saute, Flex (that allows Sous Vide), Simmer, Yogurt, Grains, Eggs, Dessert, Keep Warm and Time Delay to program cooking time at your convenience. Over 33 programmable settings include: Hard Boild Eggs, Meat, Beans, Soup, Risotto, Vegetable, Omelette, Cheesecake and more!The White Rice setting cooks rice as a traditional rice cooker would, using only steam. The Flex function allows you to use the unit as a pressure cooker or traditional stockpot. Yogurt allows you to prepare homemade yogurt with an easy-to-follow 2 step process. All food settings come equipped with their own preset cooking time and temperature or pressure level for ideal results. The 6 quart size which is the one is the video is $159.99 on Amazon.
