The Giz Wiz Show 1668, March 30th 2017 Independent Show #151

The Giz Wiz Show just started it's13th year! The first show was February 20th, 2006. And soon (May 2018) we'll be entering our 4th year of Independent Production! That's thanks to our wonderful Patreon supporters! If it wasn't for them, the Giz Wiz Show would be gone. If you'd like to support OMGchad & DickDe in our independent venture (we pay for everything ourselves, including travel) just click the Patreon link at the top of our show web page: http://www.gizwiz.tv . You can also contribute just once via the PayPal link that's there too. And thank you for doing that! Our show wouldn't exist without our viewer's support, but a bit more support would be a big help. (As we can say honestly, asking for more Patreon supporters is not to make more money, it helps us lose less money doing The Giz Wiz. Thanks!)
I can't resist some of those 'deal of the day' offers, so when I saw the Stack-On 18 Drawer Storage Cabinet for $14.99, I bought one. These are some of the features I read about on Amazon: Drawers stay closed with the snap-close drawer System. (I liked this idea a lot! I'm sure we've all spilled the contents one or more of those little plastic storage drawers.) See-through drawers let you see your parts at a glance. Customizable drawer labels for identification of contents are included. (Both good features.) Easily mounts to wall or stands on bench or counter top. NOTE: Drawer will be harder to pull and push - A little force will be needed to bypass this stay-closed system. (Wow, is that right! So hard to open in fact, that mounting turns out to be a MUST! If the unit isn't anchored down you must hold it in place when you open or close a drawer. Sometimes, when trying to close a drawer I pushed it hard and it flew out the back of the cabinet! I can see why this only got 3.3 out of 5 stars. And not only is there a problem opening and closing the drawers, but worse is that the drawer tracks are so short, the drawers hang down at all weird angles in the back. Be sure to watch the video to see how bad they are! I give it high marks for the way it looks, but the operation is awful. In case you're still interested, the company makes a 24, 40, & 60 drawer version of this. The 18 drawer version is $29.43 on Amazon and they run up to about $42 or so for the largest one. (By the way Stack On makes tons of other storage units without this 'locking feature'!)
