Chad's Crappy Corner & Another Gadget For His March Theme!

Our loyal Patreon's picked "Inexpensive Garden Gadgets for Chad's March theme and this week Chad finds a 3-in-1 Soil Test Kit!

Here's what Amazon says about it: Discover The Great Secret Of Gardening; Healthy Soil! 3-in-1 Soil Test Kit For Moisture, Light & pH. Yes, you read right. The secret to growing your own plants, flowers, vegetables or lawn is simple; you need to make sure that your soil is properly lighted, moisturized and has the right pH levels! And how can you tell all that? Why, by using our exquisite quality, 3-in-1 soil test kit, which was exclusively designed for gardening! This powerful, albeit small piece of equipment will tell you everything you need to know. If your soil is dry and you need to water it, if the lighting is right or you need to adjust it and, of course, if your soil’s pH levels are where they should be or you have to amend them! $11.99.

Chad pointed out that there's no brand name on the device and as you'll see, it's on Amazon many, many times, sometimes with various names.

And Chad's take? Chad liked this and you'll see in the video that he tried all 3 functions. At first he thought the light test didn't work properly, but when he took the plant outside the needle moved to 100. It also indicated the pH level of his mint plant was really low, but not what to do about it. And although it did list a fair amount of plants, it didn't list any of the ones Chad owns, like mint. Chad thought this was a decent buy for about $12.00, but wished you didn't have to do each test separately with the 3-way button. But, as he put it, this not one of the crappiest gadgets I bought.
