See your name in foam!

You haven't seen a ripple effect like this before. Because this Ripple is a different kind of art. Milk froth is your canvas and coffee extract is your medium. Now, this is not really a machine for the home, but designed more for business. The Ripple Maker combines hardware and software to deliver a new communications platform that produces high-resolution designs and messages –– that are “Rippled” onto lattes, cappuccinos, or any foam-topped drink. It sure got a lot of attention at the Coffee Fest Event. People lined up to see the patented printing technology in action. The machine creates Ripples from any image or text atop the foam layer of coffee beverages. In a place of business, the coffee vendor will makes a foam-topped coffee drink by their usual methods. Then they place the cup on the Ripples machine, select an image from the company's extensive content library or their customer’s created design. Ripple prints it in just seconds. At Coffee Fest they took a photo of my business card with a smart phone, sent it via WiFi to the Ripples machine and in about 30 seconds total, I had Alfred E. Neuman on my cappuccino! The company says Ripple Pods are filled with a patented coffee extract made from a high-quality mix of Arabica and Robusta coffee beans. I asked about price and the spokesperson said the machine is about a $1,000 and you'll sign up a monthly service plan which include pods which creates which he said is not unlike putting a ink cartridge in a printer. The cost will depend on the size of the business and how many ripples they make each month. It's so unique I think it will drive a lot of traffic to coffee houses that have of these Ripple machines.
