2015 and Lomography is introducing a brand new instant-film camera.

An New Instant Film Camera, in 2015? When I saw an instant film camera at the PhotoPlus Expo I thought who, in this digital age, would want to buy such old technology. Then I learned about their Lomo'Instant Camera Kickstarter project. They had 8,448 backers who pledged $1,118,333 to help bring that project to life. So evidently A LOT of people are interested in instant photography. The Lomo'Instant can do more than the old Polaroid cameras could. They have auto and manual flash modes so you can experiment with all kinds of experimental shooting possibilities. In addition to the camera, there's the Lomo'Instant Lens System! The camera has a built-in Wide Angle lens, but the kit includes a Fisheye, Portrait, and a close-up Lens! The camera works with the widely available Fujifilm Instax Mini film, which offers credit card sized snapshots which can fit in any wallet. Coming soon (by holidays 2015) is Lomo'Instant Wide. It has a lot of features includes one really clever one, the Remote Control Lens Cap. That's right, the lens cap is a remote shutter release. Check their website for all the things you never knew an instant film camera could do, like control an external flash. The spokesperson at the show said if you pre-order now you'll get great bonuses and secure your place in line to receive yours before the holidays! Delivery for the first batch is estimated to begin December 2015.
