A few inexpensive and practical gadgets from the National Hardware Show.

I think this is a very clever ‘why didn’t I think of that’ kind of idea. The problem: You have dark walls and dark wood floors and you need to install a power strip to handle lamps, TV’s, etc. Unfortunately the usual white and beige power strips scream "look at me, I don’t fit in this color scheme!” That’s where Invisiplug power strips can save the day and the décor. Their 6-outlet power strips are available in three faux wood grain colors – dark oak, medium cherry and light natural. They’ll blend in much better with your hardwood floors and wall boards. They offer 90 Joules of surge protection (which is on the low side) a color-matching 3-prong plug, 3 foot grounded cord with an illuminated power switch. They’re wall mountable and also offer a 15 AMP Circuit breaker. Invisiplug retails for about $16.00 on Amazon.com and they’re available at Lowe’s too.
