Leo's Crap! (But sometimes it's something good. Occassionally, very good!)

Leo finds a really nice gadget for this week’s Giz Wiz Show. He likes smart phones, and he also likes smart scales. So he got a new one, his third Internet connected scale. It’s the Wahoo Balance Smartphone Scale that can track your weight over time to help you achieve your weight goals. Use the Wahoo Balance Scale and sync to your favorite app to set different users, set goals and track your weight change over time. It’s Bluetooth LE, so it only works with certain of the newer iOS device. The Wahoo Balance Scale tracks weight and BMI. Leo will set it up for himself and Lisa, but you can use it to set different profiles and weight goals for up to 16 users. The internal memory holds up to 130 weights so you can weigh yourself with or without your phone and sync when convenient. As Leo showed us, it’s a thin, white, great looking device. The Wahoo Balance Smartphone Scale works with the iPhone 4s (or newer), iPad 3rd gen (or newer), iPad mini, and iPod Touch 5th gen (or newer). The company says it will not work with the iPhone 3G, 3GS or 4. The Wahoo Balance Scale sells for $99.99 on Amazon, but it’s on sale on the company website for $79.99 as of 12/3/2013. I don’t know how long the sale price will last.
