From the Time To Play Holiday Toy Spectacular, the Kid Trax Kia Soul Sing-Along DJ Ride-On Car.

OMG, if I were a kid, I would think this was amazing. Hey, I'm an adult and I still love it. A kid can drive up to five mph in forward and reverse, but the parent can set the top speed for 2.5 mph if they want. There are real engine and horn sounds and working car doors. (Fortunately your kid probably won't face the frustration of trying to park this baby, except maybe in the bedroom!) Parents will probably also want to supervise this: There are two mega loud speakers with colored LEDs and two connected microphones to allow kids to have endless sing-along fun. There are audio jacks for your - or their - iPod, smart phone, etc., but the car does its own FM radio. The Kid Trax Kia Soul Sing-Along DJ Ride-On Car is available in 3 colors, green, orange and purple. I asked as a joke, but it turns out the car does come with two pairs of rock star glasses. (I’m wearing a pair in the video.) Role play is enhanced with daytime running LEDs and working headlights, tail lights, and even under body lights! Power Trax rubber traction strip tires provide better traction. The 12-volt battery charges via a regular AC outlet. This is a Toys R Us exclusive. $399.99. It can be preordered now for shipping early November 2014. (And it looks like the shipping is free. Check their website at the link below to be sure it can go where you are.)

Lenovo's Yoga Tablet 2 Pro offers some very new features.

At the GetGeeked Event in New York mid-October I stopped by the Lenovo booth to see what was new. When they mentioned a new tablet, I said: “Please, let it be different from all the other new tablets coming out.” Turns out, it is. The Yoga Tablet 2 Pro (which runs Android 4.4 KitKat) has one the biggest screens available. It’s a 13.3” QHD (2560x1440) display. It’s powered by the newest Intel Atom Z3745 processor and has 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a microSD slot to add up to 64GB more. There are two cameras; a 1.6MP unit on the front and an 8MP unit on the rear. There’s a ‘tube’ along the bottom of the device that packs many new, unique features. First there’s a healthy 9,600-mAh battery that Lenovo says will run the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro for up to 15 hours. Then there’s a built-in Pico projector for displaying your favorite movies, sales presentation, etc. -- up to a 50” on a darkened surface. (Battery life drops to about 3 hours when using it in projector mode.) To enhance your sound experience the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro has an 8W JBL speaker system (two 1.5W front-facing speakers plus a 5W subwoofer built into the back.) Weighing in at 2.09-lb, it still has Lenovo’s Stand, Tilt, and Hold modes, but now there’s a new “Hang” mode to mount the device on a wall. For connectivity there’s 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.0. There’s also optional LTE wireless. The Yoga Tablet 2 Pro will launch in late October for $499 (without LTE) and will be available from Lenovo.com and Best Buy.

An aircraft with a parachute big enough to land the plane and its passengers!

Seeing an actual aircraft with a 34.8-foot wingspan inside a relatively small exhibit space really got my attention! I even got to sit inside the cockpit. I was totally impressed that the entire aircraft and its passengers can be landed safely in an emergency via a built-in parachute. At first I thought it was a joke, but the CAPS video below (and many saved life’s) proved it’s not. Since I never owned an airplane and don’t know much about them, I had to rely on the company’s info. And here it is: Cirrus Aircraft is a recognized leader in general aviation. Its all-composite line of personal aircraft - the SR20, SR22 and the turbocharged SR22T - incorporate innovative and advanced performance, electronic and safety technologies, including Cirrus Perspective by Garmin avionics and the unique Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS). To date, total time on the worldwide Cirrus Aircraft SR-series fleet surpassed five million flight hours with 95 lives saved as a direct result of CAPS being a standard safety feature on all Cirrus aircraft. The plane in the video is the SR22 GTS, the flagship of the Cirrus Aircraft fleet. It incorporates many Cirrus custom upgrade packages, which is why it’s in the $700,000 range. There are many lower priced models. Check out the company website for more important information and specs. And if you’re looking for something really new, coming in 2015 is the Cirrus Vision SF50 jet, a new personal jet aircraft.

    World's 1st Cordless Squeegee!

Here’s a bit of what Amazon says about the Karcher PowerSqueege, world's first lithium-ion cordless window and flat surface wet vac. The Karcher WV50 PowerSqueegee helps reduce the time, labor, and mess. Simply spray the cleaning solution of choice, turn the vacuum on, and run the blades along the surface -- it's that easy. TheWV50 PowerSqueegee eliminates the wiping, rubbing, and mess required when using paper or cloth towels, and you'll save money by not having to wash cloths or throw away paper towels. Plus, the WV50 PowerSqueegee is ideal for those who suffer from arthritis, carpel tunnel, or other joint and muscle aliments that make rubbing or wiping a painful process. Ideal for most non-porous surfaces, the WV50 PowerSqueegee can clean windows, mirrors, sky-lights, tiles, smooth granite and stone surfaces -- without leaving any streaks. It features double-layered 11-inch blades made of long-lasting neoprene and edge-to-edge suction on any flat surface. An innovative water recovery system takes up dirty water before it drips, and it empties quickly with no mess. The WV50 PowerSqueegee weighs 10 ounces, and includes a 12-volt wall charger and operating instructions. MSRP: $79.99. Lowest price I could find on Amazon was about $54 on 9/23/2014. And it’s still Amazon Prime, so free shipping if you’re a Prime Member.

And The Giz Wiz’s take: I like this gadget a lot! It's cleans fast and there is no mess. You don't need to use paper towels or a cloth. And the company says on one charge you can clean about 40 panes of glass. This is the only time I looked forward to washing windows and mirrors!

Many new 'perks' in the Capresso CoffeeTEAM Pro Glass.

I’m impressed with the newCapresso CoffeeTEAM PRO Glass 12-cup coffee maker. It features a sleek stainless steel exterior and has a lot of new features. Like many other Capresso models, this automatic coffeemaker features a professional-grade conical solid steel burr grinder to grind beans slowly. This imparts minimal heat, preserving more flavor and aroma. New is an easy to unlock removable 7-ounce bean container to lift off to refill beans or access the grinder for cleaning. But now there’s a removable upper burr, for easy cleaning. Capresso says this is the only coffeemaker/grinder combination that allows you to remove and clean the burrs. Another exclusive CoffeeTEAM PRO Glass feature is a two-step grind and clean chamber that automatically cleans the grinder after every cycle. (That’s great!) Also new is a removable water container with a convenient built-in carry handle. So you can fill it in place, or take to the sink. Plus there’s a special setting for oily dark roasted beans, which move slower through the grinding process. After brewing, the warming plate keeps coffee warm, with a safety shut-off after 2 hours. A charcoal water filter removes up to 82 percent of water impurities, so you can brew with the freshest water possible. I set my CoffeeTEAM PRO Glass to brew at a pre-set time in the morning. That way I wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee! It makes getting up a lot easier. There are more features explained in my video below. The Capresso CoffeeTEAM PRO Glass has a retail price of $219.99. It’s available at specialty and online retailers. And at:
