Canned Unicorn Meat
Jay York has a comparable story to Dick’s about MAD’s receipt of a copyright infringement warning letter from Star Wars’ attorneys. Think Geek‘s April Fools joke was the Canned Unicorn Meat, which was referred to as “the other white meat”. The attorneys for the National Pork Board considered it an infringement of the Board’s own slogan, and issued a cease-and-desist letter to Think Geek, who replied, in its press release, that it was never their intention to cause a national crisis, or misguide American citizens about the differences between a pig and a unicorn.

House-Bound
Matthew Kopelke from Queensland, Australia has been a long-time listener of the show and the TWiT network since he became a fan of the network on the launch of Windows Weekly. At around Easter this year, Matthew had to undergo some serious surgery and was house-bound for a month on his own, often without much human contact. But for the Daily Giz Wiz, he could have gone crazy due to solitary confinement. He used the time available to catch up with the first 500-odd episodes of the show. Our condolences to Matthew, for having lost his sanity. Leo still recommends the test tube and stopper.

Hallmark Policy
Dick once did a segment on Valentine Day’s cards on TV, and afterwards, Hallmark asked for the cards back. It was Hallmark’s corporate policy. Leo likes the idea and will be implementing it for TWiT.
Seek and Find
Opher Banarie was listening to Episode 1099 in which Leo suggested that the Seeker 400 was a good thing to give to kids, and wondered what, who knows, they might find. Opher, on the other hand, wondered what, who knows, they might be charged with.
Dick also thought that the Seeker 400 might be useful for looking at small serial numbers or other tiny print. Opher’s solution is to take a picture of the number with a digital camera and zoom in on the picture in Photoshop.
