Meet LampChamp - the easy to install charging station.

LampChamp is an easy way to find a place to plug in your USB charging cable right next to where you're sitting. It turns any lamp into a USB charging station so you've always got power at your fingertips. (You'll see exactly how it works in the video.) The 2 AMP USB Charger stays on all the time and a convenient On/Off Switch controls the light bulb. You can install it in seconds, simply remove your existing light bulb, screw in LampChamp, and then replace the bulb. LampChamp recommends an LED light which are economical and don't produce much heat. MSRP is $29.99. But I've seen it on sale for as low as $14.99 on Amazon. As of 9/7/16 the price was $19.99 for one, but you could get two for $29.99 at this Giz Wiz Link:

Another option for your 'dumb home'.

QVS Power Control Switch can add an "on" - "off" switch to 2-prong AC devices that don't have them. Lots of electronic devices these days do not have an on/off switch. That means they use 'vampire' or standby power even when they are not being used. The QVS Power Switch, a non-grounded 2-prong power adapter, makes it easy to add an on/off power switch to cut the power to a device when not in use. And it acts like like any other power switch, so you don't have to unplug a device to cut wasted energy. It should fit any standard power outlet or power strip. A red LED light lets you know if the switch is “on” or “off”. It's for dry, indoor locations, and both the plug and the plug receptacle are polarized. The package says UL listed, designed for AC, 125 Volt 15 Amp 60Hz,1875 Watt max. As you'll see in the video, the pricing on Amazon is nuts. One unit was $2.99, which two units were $32.50. If you want to buy more than one, click the $2.99 price, and then change the quantity to what you want.

Amazon link: http://amzn.to/2csgwWl REMEMBER! Just click on the 1 unit price, $2.99 as of 9/8/16. Then pick the number of units you want for $2.99 each. I bought four for $11.96

We love Fasta Pasta and now there's a bigger version for bigger families!

I love the original Fasta Pasta maker. Just add water, pasta and pop it into the microwave. Nothing to watch, no pots or colander to wash. But the original Fasta Pasta was for small families. Now there's a brand new Family Size version that cooks up to 8 servings of pasta at a time! Saves time, energy and water. Use with spaghetti, fettuccine, macaroni, lasagna noodles, rotini and more. Once the video as we use it for the first time to make pasta. And we solve the mystery of why the instructions say “Lid Hole 2 = 8 servings” while the lid is marked with the numbers '1 & 3'. Okay, you don't have to video. I called Fasta Pasta and it turns out the first run had a mistake that wasn't caught before shipping. New versions are corrected. But it doesn't matter now that you know. Dishwasher safe. FDA approved microwaveable material. Made in the USA. My only compliant? The sides have water level indicator lines for serving sizes that are a bit hard to see. And there is just a touch of work for some pasta shapes. You're supposed to stir them once about halfway through the cooking process. No big deal, for sure. It's a simple device, but it works great.

Zus - A 2 USB Charging Station for Your Car & A Way To Find Your Car.

This little inexpensive device, it's under $30, charges your personal electronics on-the-go using dual ultra-fast USB revesibile ports. (Reverisble ports means you can plug the USB charging cable in either way.) Zus says it can cut charging time of your device by about half compared to most normal external battery chargers. But wait, there's more. Using their smartphone app, the Zus device lets you know where you last left your car and leads you back to it. It utilizes your phone's low-energy Bluetooth and navigates you right to your car w/ the easy-to-use app interface. It also uses your phone's location services, so it does use battery power. But you can charge your phone quickly when you're back in the car. The app is available for iOS or Android. Zus says their devices provides durability w/ military grade titanium coating and a heat rating of up 212F. (That's like boiling water hot!) The app can also inform you when your parking meter is about to expire. And the high tech lighting offers great visibility in the dark environment of your car. Other features which I didn't try: Actively monitors your car's battery health. Shares your parking location w/ your spouse or friends continuously. Doesn't require any data plan. Under $30.

A Viewer Found A Gadget I Love & Now Bought One For Myself.

Here's a really unique lighter --- at least I never saw one like it before. Since this product is widely available online and since I doubt it's about to reach 'gadget warehouse' status any time soon, I'm putting in place of a regular gadget I would normally do. And this week, I'll have a Dick's Gadget Warehouse Gadget video!

Here's the email we received about the SaberLight Rechargeable Flameless Plasma Beam Lighter.

Hi Guys! I had never seen this gadget before, but even though I don’t smoke, I thought it was very cool and could be useful, so I had to have it.

I enjoy the Giz Wiz very much!
