Giz Wiz Show #1527 July 16th, 2015, our 11th Independently Produced Giz Wiz  Show!

Our special all video Giz Wiz channel is here: www.gizwiz.tv

Brew your own beer! Everything you need is in one single box.

Okay, I know nothing about brewing beer, except what I learned shooting this video. So I will just pass on info, which sounds impressive, from the company. Mr. Beer is owned by the Coopers Brewery, a family owned brewery with 150 years of experience behind them, and is the world's largest manufacturer of brewing malts. Thus was born the world's # 1 home brewing powerhouse! Mr.Beer brewers are now able to take advantage of a unique water extraction process that uses less heat which means that the malts took a huge leap in quality. The original 550 gram cans of hopped and unhopped malt extracts have been replaced with 850 gram cans of all malt requiring no adjunct to make a case of high quality beer. The entire malt lineup was reviewed and crafted by the brewing geniuses at Coopers. These malts have been thoroughly revised and tweaked to meet Mr.Beer's high standards of quality, ease-of-use, and flavor. Over the past 20+ years, Mr. Beer has introduced millions of people to this great hobby. Whether you do if for the hobby or economics of a great beer at lower cost Mr. Beer is here to help. In fact you can also take this hobby to the next level. Many of our brewers started with Mr. Beer and now run breweries of their own. Rocket Republic Brewery, 903 Brewers, Black Bottle Brewery, and Anthem Brewing to name a few.

These new purses can carry something no other purses ever carried!

What looked like an ordinary ladies purse as we walked by the first time at the Holiday in July event, turned out to be something quite different on a second look. According to Jennifer Thomas-Goering, the inventor and founder of the company, her Vivajennz wine purses are the sassy & classy way to carry your favorite beverage in style! All you do is place a boxed wine or fill the bladder with your favorite drink. To serve? There's a hidden spigot is under the flap!No need for bottle openers or a glass bottle that can break... Just put in your beverage bladder with a couple of cooler packs and you are ready to go! Each bag comes with it's own 3 liter bladder. You fill it through the opening, attach the spigot and put it in the purse. Locked and loaded...Ready for the fun...Vivajennz purses are great for picnics, pools, beaches, etc. ...But wait, there's more! There's a man's version too. Prices range from about $50 to $70.00. Jennifer tells her story to me in the video.

Clean your teeth at 30,000 brush strokes per minute!

Brush Buddies makes toothbrushes of every description and most of them are very unique. They light up, make sound effects, or feature pop stars like Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber. Often the built in sounds run for two minutes, the recommended time you should brush your teeth. They're a great way to get kids to brush their teeth. Brush Buddies also make very inexpensive toothbrushes. One of their newest is their Soniclean Pro One Battery Toothbrush. I'll tell you what the company says about their new brush before I tell you the price. Here it is: “These ergonomically designed toothbrushes feature Soft DuPoint™ bristles that efficiently clean plaque in hard-to-reach places. The on/off button controls sonic vibrations at 30,000 brush strokes per minute, ensuring a thorough and effective clean. Brush heads are replaceable and it is recommended you replace your brush head every 3 months. Batteries are replaceable and included.” Actually it just uses a single AAA battery. Now I bet if I asked you to guess the price after reading the description of their Soniclean Pro One Battery Toothbrush, you would guess far above the MSRP of -------$5.99! As far as the Lady Gaga toothbrush goes, shop around online. I saw it for sale anywhere from $2 to $15.00! Brush Buddies toothbrushes are available at many drug stores including RiteAid and at the compann website, plus many other websites.

Carry shampoo, conditioner, soap, condiments, lotions, sunscreen, special sauces, magic potions and much more. The civilized, squeezable travel tube is no drip valve, carry on approved, food safe, soft easy dispensing, rugged. Capacity is 3 fl oz (89 ml). This product is so neat that you can mark the contents, just lift and rotate collar to soap, sun, etc and then snap into place. Has a large opening for easy filling and cleaning food-safe BPA-free. The 3 pack comes in 3 colors: lime green, clear and sky blue. $19.99 with free shipping, but not Amazon Prime. (Price as of 7/16/15)

And Chad's take? Chad loves his GoToob travel tubes. He says they're very well made and have never opened accidentally during travel. It's not mentioned on Amazon, but they also feature a mini-suction cup built into the back of each tube. That means you can quickly mount them on the shower wall with a quick push. There's also a built in ring near the top that lets you indicate what you have in each tube. Chad says he's been using them a lot and he thinks they're great and well worth the $20. He bought his a local drugstore, so you can check your own stores before you order them online.

They're here on Amazon:

We’re looking for more Viewer Videos! We’d love to include your video in an upcoming Giz Wiz Show, so let’s go going! You’ll get an autographed copy of MAD Magazine and a 35-year-old Alfred E. Neuman picture if we show your video, and who knows, maybe you’ll be discovered by a YouTube Talent Agent!

Here’s what we’re looking for: Your home shot video – 2 to 3 minutes long, in any of the following categories:

I bought a piece of crap: Did you buy something you ended up hating? We won't get you a refund, but we might be able to give a platform to vent your disappointment. Remember, "family friendly" language applies.

I invented this! Did you invent something? (Or did a friend or relative invent something.) We can't market it for you, but we can help get the word out. Show us what it is, and how it works. Even if it's a prototype, you can get our (and the audience) reactions. No professional ads please.

My Gadget Warehouse: Okay, so you don't have a warehouse. It doesn't matter. Just tell us about your favorite old gadget(s). When and where you bought it, and why you're still hanging on to it.

My Favorite Gadget of All Time: Show us what it is, tell us what it does and why you love, or loved it! It can be a new gadget you just bought too.

Post them on YouTube and send us the link! We'll do the rest. (Or possibly nothing, but that's unlikely.) Remember, videos should be just 2 to 3 minutes long! Low production value is fine, but we should be able to hear you and see you! If we select and show your video on The Giz Wiz you’ll a tiny amount of fame (hopefully), an autographed MAD magazine and a 35-year-old Alfred E. Neuman picture. So that's one more (so-so) reason to send in your video! We're cheap so magazine and Alfred E. picture can only be sent to folks in the US or Canada. But everyone still gets to see your video and hear your name no matter where you live!

All show submissions go to mail@gizwiz.tv . (NOTICE! This is a new email address!)

Letter of the week:

Hey Chad & Dick,

I couldn't make you guys a video due to me having to go back to school tomorrow. So I hope this email will do. I am turning 16 on Thursday the 16th of July, the day of your next stream and podcast which make me very happy!

I live in Australia and is it cold and windy here during this winter, so I'm binge watching The Giz Wiz while in bed.

Anyway, my gadget is what I consider to be old. For my 11th birthday (2010) I was given the latest thing for teenagers. The iPod touch. It was an 8g 2nd generation, which let you have a lock screen picture; but not a home screen. And because I haven't charged it for a while, my lock screen is still of, would you believe it, OMGchad and Captainsparklez!

It still works to this day, although the headphone jack doesn't work very well with headphones, but it is still one of my favourite things on the planet and it's fun to show friends and laugh about how not to long ago, that technology was considered amazing, yet now basic.

I love the Giz Wiz and Chad's YT channel. So thankyou for making my life just *that* much better! (Keep shooting for 100K Chad, you're nearly there!)
