Wow! The Giz Wiz Show started year 13 overall & our 5th year of Independent Production! (First Giz Wiz show was February 20th, 2006.) Thanks to our wonderful Patreon supporters we continue on! If it wasn't for them, the Giz Wiz Show would be gone. If you'd like to support OMGchad & DickDe in our independent venture (we pay for everything ourselves, including travel) just click the Patreon link at the top of our show web page: http://www.gizwiz.tv/. You can also contribute just once via the PayPal link that's there too. Thank you for doing that! Our show wouldn't exist without our viewer's support, but a bit more support would be a big help. Thanks from OMGchad & DickDe!
And now to this week's show! Medical Equipment, “As Seen On TV” – Wow, that's gotta be professional equipment!
Roaming through my CVS “as seen on TV” shelves, I was drawn to Color Doctor Blood Pressure Monitor! With Color-Changing LCD Monitor and Easy-to-Read Numbers, it seemed like a great gadget to try for $19.99. It actually had a couple of other decent features. It can store data for two users – and has memory of up to 90 readings each. The wrist monitor is fairy easy to use and but in order to read the numbers on 2-inch wide LCD display you have to hold it just right. Otherwise all you see are a large number 8888888888's on the screen. The screen is backlit for increased visibility in poorly lit locations. There's a way to set it to include the month, date and time, but I didn't do that. The color-changing LCD monitor displays green for normal, yellow for prehypertension, and red indicating hypertension. Doing a bit of research online it turns out the numbers are slightly different depending on your age, but this wasn't a bad deal for $20 to my. I see one exactly like it for about $29 on Amazon, but I paid $19.99 at my local CVS store and guess you can find it a your local drugstore too for less than $29

Be sure to watch this week's show to see some rating scams for the Lakmus Blood Pressure Monitor Cuff Wrist - Digital BP Monitor FDA Approved - Fully Automatic Accurate Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor for Home - It had 100% 5 star reviews which seemed suspicious. OMG, what until you start to read some of them. They refer to all sorts of products that don't relate into any way to the device they're listed under! Check out some of these 5 stars reviews!
