    Here's a battery charger/analyzer with a LOT of bells & whistles.

A while back I reported on the Brando USB Hub for OTG Smart Phone. It's neat device that lets you add USB ports to Smart Phones that feature On The Go technolgy. It acts as a stand for your phone too, and it only cost $10! More info on that device is here:

    http://gizwizbiz.squarespace.com/?SSLogoutOk=true&currentPage=6

Now there's something else new from Brando. The SkyRC NC2500 AA/AAA Battery Charger & Analyzer. It's Bluetooth enabled and billed as the World's Most Advanced AAA/AA Battery Charger and I don't disagree with that. Here's more info from the company website: The SkyRC NC2500 AAAAA Battery Charger & Analyzer is more than just a battery charger which can perform a number of different functions. If you are interested in getting optimum power, turbo fast charging (up to 2,500mA Charge Current) and the most battery life possible, this is an excellent choice for you. The charger has 4 compartments for AA batteries and 4 compartments for AAA batteries and it is able to charge both AA and AAA batteries simultaneously. Due to the different capacity, you could set the charge rate accordingly or set all at once. With charging, discharging, refresh & analyze, break-in and cycle functions as well as individual LCD displays for charging status; this charging unit is reliable, user-friendly and ideal for use in the home, office or on a trip. Depending on different battery condition, there are 5 modes of operation.
CHARGE - Charge the battery at the selected rate. Suitable for batteries used frequently.
DISCHARGE - Discharges the batteries at the selected rate.
REFRESH ANALYZE - Suitable for batteries stored for more the 2 weeks but less than 3 months or the batteries showing poor performance. This mode can also determine the battery capacity for battery matching.
BREAK-IN - Battery forming is charge-discharge-charge cycle which forces a full charge into the new batteries and those stored for more than 3 months at a very low rate to actives the batteries.
CYCLE - Performs charge-discharge cycle for up to 12 times. Cycle mode an remove memory effect of rechargeable batteries.
Your charger gets its own APP. Your could control this smart charger by your smart phone via Bluetooth. More touch, easy control. Operating this charger on your smart phone with your fingers, you will have best using experience and inter-activity. What's more, you could get more functions (optional Delta Peak Value and Discharge Termination Voltage) and information (battery temp, internal resistance and voltage graphic) in Smart Phone Control Mode. And now back to me! Pretty amazing, no? Based on the USB hub costing just $10, I took a guess of $49.99 for this device. Boy what I wrong. It's more than twice that at $105.00. If you must still have it, more info is here:

Beware! Time Home Entertainment Inc. and MAD Magazine Announce:

    VIEW TO A SHILL (AGAIN!)

Inside MAD, An Ill-Conceived Collection of the Magazine’s

High-Quality Stupidity from the “Usual Gang of Idiots” and Their Celebrity Fans. (Yep, I'm in the book too.)

Features Special Introduction by Judd Apatow and 17 Celebrity Guest Essays

On Sale October 29 Nationwide, But Tough To Find In Hoboken

For more than six decades, MAD Magazine's irreverent humor has warped the minds of countless readers. Now MAD's legendary writers, artists, and celebrity fans pull back the curtain, or lift up the venetian blinds, or some window treatment analogy like that, to share and comment on their favorite MAD spoofs of all time in Inside MAD (Time Home Entertainment Inc.; $29.95 Cheap!), on sale October 29, 2013 at retailers nationwide and under $22 (Cheaper!) at Amazon: www.insidemad.com.

Contrary to popular belief, not everyone who wasted their formative years reading MAD wound up as a complete failure. Despite having their minds irreversibly rotted by the magazine, some readers actually went on to be, well, successful! And now, for the first time ever, these successful readers share what reading and appearing in MAD meant to them!

Roseanne Barr, Ken Burns, Dane Cook, Paul Feig, Whoopi Goldberg, Harry Hamlin, Tony Hawk, Ice-T, Penn Jillette, George Lopez, David Lynch, Todd McFarlane, Jeff Probst, John Slattery, John Stamos, Pendleton Ward and Matthew Weiner all ignored their management’s advice and contributed essays to Inside MAD.

But wait—there’s more! (Regrettably.) To get the perspective of highly unsuccessful people too, MAD – an imprint of the much more successful DC Entertainment – invited its own editors, writers and artists to share their all-time favorite MAD articles.  Contributors include: Sergio Aragonés, Tom Bunk, Tim Carvell, Paul Coker, Jack Davis, Dick DeBartolo, Desmond Devlin, Mort Drucker, Mark Fredrickson, Drew Friedman, Frank Jacobs, Al Jaffee, Peter Kuper, Tom Richmond and many more. (Not to be confused with noted writer Manny Moor.)

As a bonus, Inside MAD also features an all-new, specially-commissioned gatefold poster by Sergio Aragonés illustrating the mayhem of the legendary MAD offices and a never-before-reprinted Alfred E. Neuman pop art poster!

Speaking from MAD’s international headquarters in midtown Manhattan, MAD Editor John Ficarra said, “Dammit, I told you not to call me here! I’m NOT paying you! Oh…er…excuse me. I thought you were someone else.”

Inside MAD offers a rare look into the twisted minds of the writers and artists who have produced the magazine for the past 61 years.  The editors would like to say it’s illuminating and insightful, but unfortunately they can’t – they’ve read it.

Now you can add water to your music!

These fun Dancing Water Speakers dance to the beat of whatever music you play. There come with two cables. The USB cable supplies the power to the speakers from your computer or your own AC to USB adapter plug. The supplied audio cable plugs into one of the speakers and into the headphone jack of your iPhone, iPad, iPod, MP3 MP4 player, home computer, etc. Play any of your favorite tunes and let the party begin. Or just sit there and enjoy the fun yourself. The Dancing Water Speakers shoot water into the enclosed clear plastic mini-tower while dancing to the rhythm of your music. Multi-colored LED lights, reflect off the water as it pulsates creating many great visual effects. If you darken the room you’ll get neat reflections off a white or light colored ceiling. The Dancing Water Speakers are lightweight and portable. They were an instant hit to everyone I showed them too. In the Giz Wiz video I said they were about $40, but I just checked my receipt and they were under $36 at the Amazon link below. You get the two speakers, a USB cable for powering them, and an audio cable to hook them to your music source. For their size and price the sound is very decent, but I doubt if you would want them to be your everyday hardcore listening speakers.

This is the link to the speakers I bought on Amazon and they were only $36 with free shipping for Amazon Prime Members:  http://amazon.com/dp/B00BUIVVH2/?tag=twnene-20

(This is a TWiT link. If you decide to buy one, you pay the normal price and TWiT gets a pittance.)
