    Fall Fix-Up Gadgets --

Fall Fix-up.  At the top of fix-up list is --- power tools! Ryobi has a great idea! Their ONE+ system has 50 tools of all descriptions that use the same power pack! The batteries are lithium-ion, which weigh less and run longer than popular nic-cad batteries.

Ryobi 18v Combo Kit About $180 at Home Depot. The kit contains Ryobi Compact Drill – same power and performance of a full-size drill, but compact design fits into small spaces. A bright LED illuminates your work and features on-board bit storage. MagTray magnetic holder to keep screws within easy reach.

The Ryobi circular saw has a compact design and the Exactline laser that automatically activates during use to improve cut accuracy.

Ryobi Worklight – Sits flat, stands up, or hangs on a hook and a rotating head illuminates your work.

The Kit also contains a reciprocating saw, which I did not show. The four piece kit is here on the Home Depot Site:

    Ryobi ONE+ ProTip Sprayer Under $180 -

(This tool is not part of the kit above.)

Ryobi says this is the first cordless consumer sprayer with a reversible spray tip. If you're painting and you get a clog, the design allows the user to rotate the tip 180 degrees to clear the clog. After you rotate the tip, you use an empty cardboard box or save other area you don't care about to spray out the clog. Then you rotate the tip back to continue spraying.

A different kind of tool from Black & Decker, one we’re never seen before

It's the GYRO Rechargeable Screwdriver Under $40. Black & Decker says this is the world’s first motion-activated gyroscopic technology screwdriver. You control both the speed and the direction with a twist of the wrist. Twist slightly right you're driving a screw. Twist slightly left you're removing the screw. There's a built-in LED to illuminate your work. I found that the Gyro does work with your wrist motion, but with a 4 Volt battery for power, I think it's better suited to lighter screwing jobs. It's available now and $40 or less.
