Cute, Clever, and 'It Might Be That' Answers That Won

Since no one guessed what the gadget really was, we're awarding 18 autographed MAD magazines to the "Cute, clever & 'it might have been' answers we liked.

Dozens of the those answers had something to do with a robotic or prosthetic leg. We picked four at random:

OMG!! You found my robot's prosthetic leg. Dave Rivera

Modern Pirate GQ Long John Silver footwear ... for the discriminating Pirate, Argh! Gus

It’s a prosthetic limb replacement for the Boston Robotics dancing dogs. Ron Guraliuck

It's a base that fits on a pirate's peg leg that puts a spring in their step. Keith Phillip

    Other winers:

A miniature upright vacuum cleaner for use on your clothes. Jim Small

It is a resting platform for "thing" Thing T. Thing (Addams Family) Jade Splawn

It is a sandpaper holder for your finger. -Chad Masters

It's a really old and not used any more OIL CAN SPOUT. Bill Chambers

Automatic Matchbox toy car parking garage. Prongs at the bottom grab the car and they are stacked vertically for storage. Ian Winkler

White Castle hamburger press. John NY

It is a fly killer. You set the fly between the plates and pull the lever. Mr tom

A LEVER OPERATED MAGAZINE PRESS FOR FLATTENING OUT ALL of our old issues. Bob Guthrie

Hand piercer. Rather than piercing your ears or naval, you can pierce you hand instead. Ben from omaha Nebrasla

Looks like a clamp on flag pole/fishing pole holder to me. Cliff

Looks like a leveling leg. R Manning

Clearly this is a staple remover. Mary G.

Darth Vader’s toe nail clipper Manley

This thing is for smashing aluminum cans for recycling. Marty

WINNERS (Who live in the U.S.& I'll try to send to Canada) get the December 2021 issue of MAD. (I have two horror movie satires in that issue with art by one of MAD's most famous artists, Mort Drucker and the other by the wonderful Harry North, Esq. Even though MAD moved to LA in December 2017 I'm continuing the WTHII game and sending out MAD magazines to winners since so many people say they love to play it. Winners of MAD magazine are for US addresses only, although I have been able to send MAD magazine to some locations in Canada. If you win and live in the US or Canada, email me your full name & address and put MAD WINNER in the subject so I can pick it out easily. I'll autograph your MAD with your first name & my name unless you specify "Dick's name only". If you'd rather have one of those 38+ year old Alfred E. Neuman pictures, instead of December MAD, put "SEND ALFRED PIC NOT MAD" in the subject line. Soon, they will be no more of those either. The remaining Alfred E pics were shipped to MAD in LA. If you won more than once using different names, please just ask for one MAD. If you live anywhere outside of the US & Canada email me with WINNER in the subject line and I'll autograph an Alfred E. Neuman photo to you, scan it & email it to you. You can print it out & no one should know the difference. (I've done it quite a few times already and people say the photo looks great.)
