A thief can't pick a Quicklock.
A thief can’t pick the Quicklock.
And why can’t a thief pick a Quicklock padlock? Because this new high-tech lock no keyhole. It has no combination dials. It just has a single button on the front. You use that button to open the Quicklock a lot of other ways. With your smart phone via Bluetooth, with an NFC (Near Field Communication) tag, even an NFC wireless ring. Yeah, I know, you don’t own a NFC wireless ring. That’s okay, Quicklock has them as an option. But wait, there’s more! You can also open it with an NFC Keyfob, or even a thin NFC Sticker you can place on your gym card. There were several Bluetooth locks at the National Hardware but Quicklock says it’s the only NFC + Bluetooth padlock on the market. And I like the idea of having multiple ways to open a lock. Of course I asked how you charge the lock and how often you have to do it. The spokesperson said it charges via USB, but the internal battery only has to be charged as little as once every two years! The price? Fortunately, it changed drastically in the since the show a month ago. I was told it was $79.95, which seemed a lot, even for that much technology. It’s now a more affordable $49.95. There are many options available, including a Quicklock door lock, which is $79.95. Check out the company video and website.
