When I sing it puts people in pain. The T-Pain Mic can help anyone with an bad singing voice sound way better!

T-Pain Mic. This fun electronic device was inspired by the #1 Selling Music iPhone App in 2010. But in order to sing along, make your voice sound a bit like T-Pains, or have the audio-tune technology make you should pretty good – even if you can’t sing – you needed an Apple product in order to buy the app. That was till now. The I Am T-Pain Mic was debuted by the Grammy-award winning artist himself at CES Showstoppers. It gives singers an on-the-spot Auto-Tune filter and lets you record and playback right within the mic. T-Pain was first to use what is now called the “T-Pain Effect” in one of his songs by putting pitch correction into overdrive. Designed in four edgy styles, the I Am T-Pain Mic lets you sing or free-style, then record and play back your top hits with the “T-Pain Effect.” With three demo beats and soundbytes provided by Nappy Boy Entertainment's own Young Fyre, it’s almost as if you’re in a real recording studio! Connect the I Am T-Pain Mic to your computer for updates and downloads that make your Mic unique, or plug in headphones for more discreet play. SRP $39.99 Ages 7+  It should be out in the June/July time frame.

Think Geek adds another musical tee-shirt to their drum shirt & their guitar shirt.

This time it's the new Synthesizer T-Shirt. In the past I showed the Electronic Rock Guitar Shirt and Drum  Shirt from Think Geek. But now there’s a brand high tech addition. It’s a fully-playable synthesizer t-shirt that features professional quality sounds in a unique wearable format. With eight-voice polyphony, high-quality sampled sounds and stylist retro amp box, you'll be jamming in no time. But parents, don’t worry. There’s a headphone jack so you should be able to convince the kids to play in their own room, or else play through their own headphones. The mini amp fits in a pocket on the shirt, or it can be worn on the belt, with the attached clip. It has a volume & tone control. In case you want to wash the shirt, the electronics are removable. It requires 4 AAA batteries (not included). Recommended for ages 12 and up. $29.99. There’s a video at the Think Geek website here:

Gloves that let you use all ten fingers on your touch screen devices.

So what’s a touch screen-lover to do in the cold? You probably already know that regular gloves will not let you operate a touch screen device. They keep you warm, but they create a barrier between you and your touch-screen device. That’s where Agloves are different. These “tech gloves” can be worn while you use any of your touch screen phones, cameras, multimedia devices, etc. Why? Because of silver. Silver is the most electrically conductive element. Agloves are made with silver-coated nylon fibers knitted into a comfortable fabric that puts the conductivity back in your touch. (The company says silver is the most electrically conductive element.) Agloves’ silver fibers are not restricted to two or three fingertips. They’re knitted into the fabric of the whole glove so all ten fingers can be touch-screen ready. This is important because it provides greater surface area for the natural bioelectricity in your hand.  If the tips of your fingertips are not conductive enough due to dryness and cold, the bioelectricity from the palm of your hand flows through the super conductive glove to your fingertips to maintain your connection. And a great little side benefit, no fingerprints! I used these gloves down by the Hudson river with a stiff wind blowing. Down to about 40 degrees they’re nice and warm. Below that, you might want use these as liners, under other gloves. (But you'll have to remove the top gloves when you need to use the touch-screen.) Under $18. For now, they’re only available on the web.
