Chad's Crappy Corner & Another Gadget For His August Theme!

This week's gadget for this month's theme: "Cheap outdoor cooking gadgets" is the Quirky PGRL1-RD01 Grill Wrangler.

Here's what Amazon says about it: "Here's a 3-in-1 BBQ tool. With a simple slide-n-lock mechanism, Grill Wrangler transforms to tongs to spatula to grilling fork. Tongs – wide mouth with smooth spring action for grabbing and gripping • Spatula – large stainless steel face with steam vents • Fork – easy-release button for sticking, turning and serving." It got 4 out of 5 stars...   $19.98, plus free shipping, but not Amazon Prime.

And Chad's take: Be sure to watch Chad demo, or his demo to try to use all three features of the Quirky Grill Wrangler successfully. The device certainly looks great, but Chad felt 2 out of 3 operations it performed, weren't performed very well. The control to switch between devices wasn't good and something it unlocked when you didn't want it to. And Chad felt the spatula was too thick, like 1/4", so it didn't slide under meat on the grill easily. Everything is in the video you'll see on this week's show.

Not sold directly on Amazon, but here's a link to the vendor that does sell it on Amazon:
