World's First Portable Sit And Stand Desk.

With the new flexible Giz Wiz Show format, not only do we show your videos, we now also have in-studio guests demonstrating their inventions. Our very first guest ever is Dan McDonley, inventor of The Ninja Standing Desk - the world's first portable sit and stand desk. This is a compact, lightweight desk perfect for travelers, and anyone who is tight on space. Dan says other standing desks on the market are hundreds to thousands of dollars, while his sells for $159. I’ll let Dan tell you a little more about his freshly funded Kick-Starter project. “The Ninja Standing Desk hangs from a door, wall, or cubicle and is available in 2- and 3-shelf models. It can hold a laptop, monitor, keyboard, and mouse combination as preferred. By adding a third shelf it can also be used as a sitting desk by simply moving the laptop and keyboard down one shelf, and pulling a chair up to the desk. The desk is adjustable to any height and tilt angle; it folds up into a compact package for easy transport, and is sturdy enough for everyday use! Using the Ninja Standing Desk, I was more focused and productive and even lost weight from burning extra calories by standing up. I was assassinating my deadlines, slicing through my work day, while feeling healthier and nimble as a ninja." It folds up to about the size of a thick laptop, so the Ninja Standing Desk can fit into a laptop bag, backpack, or carry-on luggage. It weighs about 4 lbs. It takes only minutes to set up, and provides the freedom to work anywhere there is a place to hang it from. With T9 military grade aluminum support poles, the desk is rated for 30 lbs per shelf and 80 lbs total: strong enough to hold any computer workstation. Cost is $159 for the two shelf model, plus $18 shipping. You can order one now, but they won't ship till December.
