August 14, 2012 Post a Comment Woot does it, The Giz Wiz does, lots of web sites do it. They sell boxes of crap a couple of times a year. It’s a way to clear out all the unsold crap from their warehouse. (I sell my boxes of crap all year round because I don’t advertise it. You have to stumble across info about it.) So are Boxes of Crap worth it? Do you get great stuff? Well, you can judge for yourself in this week’s Giz Wiz Video.
If you don’t have time to watch the video, here’s what I got when I ordered a box of crap from www.thatdailydeal.com It was $29.99 + $4.95 for a total of just under $35.
OrGreenic Pot & Strainer – A 4-quart pot, (I’m guessing) slightly chipped, and no cover for the pot. Plus a separate strainer insert.
3 VHS Video Tapes – Red Sox Season 2004 + Red Sox Movie + Shattered Lies
8 Velvet Hangers - thin hangers maybe sprayed with fake velvet so thing don't slide off.
BBQ Hooker – combo spatula, hook, cutting edge
Misting Flower – Copper ‘flower’ & hose to mist your plants. Really dumb.
Glow RED flashlight, flasher, and whistle. Great if you have a job parking cars at night.
Touch ‘N Brush – foot long plastic device hangs on wall. It’s whole purpose is to squeeze toothpaste out of a tube.
Can Toppers – 6 plastic caps that click onto a soda can to keep the fizz in, bugs out. No a bad idea.

Super Duper Ice Cream Scooper – World’s Largest Ice Cream Scoop (Plastic)
I buy a lot of stuff from this website. They range from useful to junky. The box of crap was so-so. There’s nothing in it I expect to use. The Auto Splitter is good, but I have one.
